Review:

The 686 borderless waterproof track pant is a minimalistic track style pant adapted for snowboarding. This pant that has infiDRY® 10K waterproofing and breathability and will stand up to most conditions easily, if you ride in a region with lots of humidity and really wet snow, you might need something with a higher waterproof/breathability rating. Here in Colorado this is great for most conditions. The polyester fleece liner is warm and this pant will keep you warm in most colder conditions(you can always layer), this pant offers zipped front pockets and a back pocket which is adequate storage, there are no vents in the pant but if you’re more interested in comfort and a pant you can just slip on and ride in this is the one!

Who might want 686 borderless waterproof track pant? In my opinion, it’s comfortable, if you like a track style pant you can wear while snowboarding this is a great option, pull these pants on, and tie up the drawstrings and you’re ready to go! The only feature I’d like to see would be adding in vents that would have made these pants my daily riding pants, but really I think they are a great pant at a great price point for resort riding(especially park).

Overall Impressions:

If you like the look of a track pant and are looking for a comfortable stylish pant this season check out the 686 borderless waterproof track pant and ride in them at your local resort. If you’re looking for a pant that will adapt to more conditions and has ventilation, you should look at other options and at the price point you may be able to just add these track pants to your outerwear collection, it’s a great piece.

Pros:

  • Low price point
  • great look and feel
  • street style for the mountains
  • 10K waterproofing/breathability works well in most conditions
  • zip front and back pockets provide good storage
  • easy to put on take off

Cons:

  • None
