Review:
After reviewing the merino wool lined 686 everywhere pant, I wanted to see how the everywhere (non-merino version) pant stacked up compared to it’s much warmer sibling. As mentioned, I had been hearing really good comments on the everywhere pants from 686 and was very intrigued. I chose the slim fit, since that is the fit that works for my body type. There is a relaxed fit version that provides the same features in a more relaxed fit if that’s your preference, thanks 686 for the options!
I usually wear a 30″ inseam, in this pant it was recommended to go with a 32″ inseam. This worked out well as the stitching allows you to cuff the pant with a tasteful red accent stitch when needed, and you can unfold the cuff for some extra length when you want.

The stretchy fabric makes them feel like you are almost wearing a pair of your favorite sweatpants! Don’t be skeptical about wearing these on a hike and out to dinner they are perfect for most any occasion in the summer, fall, or spring.

I have been wearing the 686 everywhere pants around town, to work, and on hikes (up to 6 hours). The pants breathe well, so even if you’re moving quickly they will wick the sweat away from your body. The DWR finish to resist water/stains so they stand up to most light rain conditions and keep you dry. There’s plenty of pockets, ten on this model, so you’ll have plenty of options for storing your wallet, keys, phone, or whatever else you need. The front pockets are a bit shallow, but the back pockets work well, and the zippered thigh pocket is great for storing your wallet and/or keys.
Overall Impressions
The 686 everywhere pant (slim fit) lived up to my expectations, these pants are great for Fall, Summer, and Spring. They are lightweight, and comfortable for any occasion, indoors or outdoors, you really can’t go wrong with these pants. I highly recommend these pants for any outdoor activity or lounging around.

Cons:
- A little expensive at $99.95, but you’ll get a lot of use out of these pants
