The Ride:

I’ve ridden a lot of different longboards, but this was my first from Arbor. The Arbor Mindstate Flagship longboard blends the extended wheelbase of a pintail with a drop-through truck mount, which makes for a stable ride with an easier push and great turns. The Mindstate is a complete board from Arbor, it comes with Paris Trucks and Arbor’s Sucrose Initiative wheels. The wheels are the Outlook Series, which are 70mm and are a softer urethane designed for carving and cruising the streets. It features a southwest style graphic on the bottom and has Arbor’s Lucid grip which is a clear spray-on grip made from crushed recycled glass. The Lucid grip and a small identifier logo on the top, really allow the beauty of the Red Gum wood top sheet to turn heads anywhere the Mindstate Flagship takes you. The southwest style graphics on the bottom are very vibrant and compliment the style of the board really well. I lived in Northern New Mexico for a long time so the graphics are very appealing and offer a taste of home. The shape of the Mindstate, with deep cuts in the nose and tail, allows you to ride with the Paris Trucks much looser than normally might be comfortable The deep cuts prevent wheel bite when you are really leaning into carves and sharp turns.

Summary:

This board is a lot of fun to ride around the neighborhood or down mellow hills, it’s just really fun to carve around on. It would be great for getting around campus too. Whether you just want to go for a mellow ride around the neighborhood or rip down that hill the Arbor Mindstate Flagship Longboard Complete has the speed and grip to tackle both.
