Review:
I’ve always felt there’s a better way to keep your boots stowed away from the rest of your gear before and after a day on the mountain, and I’m always looking for a convenient solution for packing up my daily essentials for riding into a backpack. The Dakine Boot Locker is the answer I was seeking! I never liked fumbling with carrying my boots around and after a day of riding they are smelly usually covered in snow, mudd or dirt from the parking lot. With the boot locker it’s no longer a problem as they are neatly stowed in a separate tarp-lined compartment (you can easily hose off your boots when you get home and wipe down the bag to get all the dirt or snow out of the compartment).
I usually take my boots out for about 24 hours to let them dry from a day on the mountain, and then they go right back into the boot locker until the next time I ride. The top most compartment holds everything my backpack did, and probably a bit more. I can store extra layers, my helmet, goggles, beanies, gloves/mittens, GoPro and GoPro accessories, and so on. The only difference now is that I don’t have a backpack to carry during the day, which I prefer for resort riding anyway. The Boot Locker is very convenient for storing your daily riding essentials and especially your boots before and after a day on the mountain, and it makes storing your boots until the next trip a breeze.
Pros:
- Great storage for day trips
- Separates boots from other gear
- Large Zippers for grasping with gloves/mittens
Cons:
- None
