Rome SDS 2018 Gear Preview
Rome snowboards has added a lot to their annually impressive offerings of snowboard gear. They’ve added a few all-mountain boards that are sure to make several top board lists. With a wide variety in their rocker/camber profiles, you can easily find a board that fits your riding style and experience level. Take a look at the National and Marshall in our gallery below, great looking all-mountain boards.
Rome continues to push the technology in their bindings and boots. Their top of the line, Katana binding, now includes a PivotMount strap bracket to allow for a better strap to boot adjustment. The AsymWrap gives the binding great toe/heel responsiveness. New for 2017/2018 is the Vice…the little brother to the Katana. Both are highly customizable. Their “Yes, I Cant” system is now available in several of their bindings. I’ve found this extremely beneficial on old knees, see our review of the Mob Boss for more on that. Rome’s boot line have some great new features as well…Vibram sole on the Libertine, lace-less liners, Boa lace systems, power straps, etc. We’ll have a review of the Rome Stomp boots soon. Rome added some great features to their entire line be sure to check them out.
