Ares Sports Rub: fast and natural relief for your aching joints and muscles
I used Ares on my knees and lower back after snowboarding for about 6 hours, and then again the next morning before I went to the gym and a quick skate session. I have to admit I can’t remember the last time I used a sports rub, and I was expecting an overpowering smell. I was pleasantly surprised that the smell from Ares was mild and more of a wintergreen smell, which my wife happened to comment on in a positive light (extra bonus points!).
I have very sensitive skin, and usually creams/ointments don’t react well with me. I felt better knowing that Ares is 100% all natural. I had high hopes it would wouldn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I really don’t like smelly sports creams, and Ares did not bother me. After applying it, I did feel a slight tingling sensation, as I recall from applying similar sports rubs, but this went away after a few minutes, and was replaced by a gentle heat sensation; that’s when I started to feel relief from my aching knees and lower back.
Ares Sports Rub really helped keep me going and enjoying my skate session; had I not applied it, I’m certain I would have been in some pain. I plan on using Ares more often, as I’m sure this will help with workouts before or after long days of riding. I’d recommend this product if you’re looking for a sports rub that doesn’t have an offensive smell, and works fast; if you have sensitive skin, this all-natural product could be a great fit.

Dave’s notes
I have used quite a few sports rubs over the years for various aches and pains (Bio Freeze, Tiger Balm, etc.). I was excited to try Ares Sports Rub, mostly because it is all-natural. The first time I used it was after a long day at my local skatepark — my knees were not happy. It has a decent smell, not overpowering like other rubs I’ve used, and the smell dissipates after a few minutes. I was amazed at how quickly it provided relief to my aching knees; within minutes my knees felt a lot better. One thing I’ve disliked about other rubs is if you use too much, it about lights you on fire. Ares provided a very mild heat sensation and washed off of my hands easily. I’ve been using Ares for several weeks now, after long skate sessions and after punishing myself on mountain bike rides. It’s by far the best rub I’ve ever used and I highly recommend it.
Ares Sports Rub has two main ingredients, Menthol, and Methyl Salicylate. The menthol percentage (10%) is twice what Icy Hot contains so you get some pretty immediate relief. Methyl Salicylate is an analgesic, a derivatve of something you’ll find in aspirin. What this all means to you: immediate relief for achy and/or sore muscles. I believe it’s only for sale via their web site currently, and it runs $12.95 for a 4 oz. tube with free shipping within the U.S.. That’s an amazing deal for a fantastic product. Well done Ares Sports Rub, my knees and back thank you!
