Chris’ Review:
As we age, our body changes and it’s always important to take extra precautions in protecting our joints whenever possible so we can continue to enjoy the activities we love to do for many years to come. Having a good cushioning insole to lessen the impact/shock from those activities is one of the top priorities for me these days. Footprint Gamechangers insoles have always been on the top of the list to try for cushioning and impact protection from skateboarding and snowboarding.

These insoles can be heat molded or used straight out of the box (I would recommend heat molding to customize the fit) and instantly provide extra comfort and protection. I have a lower arch, so the insole’s heat-moldable properties are an advantage for me. It’s a very easy process to heat mold these insoles, just put them in the oven for 8 min. at 235 degrees Fahrenheit, and walk around(recommended to wear socks during this process) for about 5 min and you instantly have a custom molded insole! Note, you can remold these insoles at any time by following the same process, and you can use these in any of your shoes so it’s very versatile for skate shoes, walking, hiking, or snowboarding!

Foot Print offers these insoles in different sizes and designs, so be sure to pick your shoe size correctly, some may need to trim the insoles to fit correctly in your given shoe, I did not and the insoles fit perfectly in my 9.5 shoes (Adidas and Nike). You’ll notice a distinct difference in cushioning, and my shoes were a bit tighter (to be expected) with all the extra padding, so you’ll need to adjust your shoelaces for your activity and comfort level. I primarily have used my Gamechangers for walking around the neighborhood and skateboarding. I’ve noticed my feet are not as tired after skating, and my knees and ankles are less sore afterward with the Gamechangers.

For general walking around, it’s nice to have the extra cushion underfoot as well. If you are like me and have lower arches, these are a great option, I really appreciate the heat molded custom solution that Foot Print has provided with these insoles, and I’m sure they will last for a long time. After several months of use, they are still looking very fresh.
Things to remember with any cushioning insole will be thicker than your normal insole, but you’re getting a lot of benefit from the added cushioning and more comfort. Gamechangers are a little bit more expensive, but the versatility of use, durability, remold-able properties and reusability in other shoes make this an insole you’ll truly appreciate.
Overall Impressions:
For those of us with low to mid arches looking for comfort in the activities, we love doing, this is a great option for a custom insole with awesome designs/artwork that can be repurposed in any of your athletic shoes/boots.
Dave’s Review:
Whether you are chucking yourself off a giant stair set, sending a big snowboard jump, or just cruising the streets, Footprint Insoles has a product to aid in injury prevention and comfort.

The Footprint Insoles Game Changers are a custom orthotic that molds to your unique foot. As an aging athlete, injury prevention and comfort are both king. Like anyone who’s consistently participated in action sports, I’ve had a laundry list of injuries and surgeries. I put in a lot of work to be able to keep skating and snowboarding at a high level. Anything that aids that process is always appreciated. I’ve used several other products from Footprint and was always impressed with the quality. I was stoked to try out the Game Changers and have been very happy with them.
Most insoles found in skate shoes and snowboard boots tend to suck in my opinion. They typically are thin and wear out quickly. I always put a custom insole in my shoes and boots. The extra cushion and support are greatly needed for my old body. The Game Changers are a bit thicker and made my shoes feel a bit tight, so I had to loosen up my laces just a touch.

I have high arches so I followed the instructions to heat mold them to assure maximum conformation to my feet. I highly recommend this process to ensure you get the most out of the insole. The first few days of having them in my shoes, my feet and ankles were a little sore. But, I quickly realized that was likely due to the poor quality of my stock insoles. Gamechangers are designed to help support arches, aid in impact protection, and promote proper alignment of joints. The more I skated in them, the more I noticed my knees didn’t ache after sessions. I eventually put them in whatever shoes I was wearing. Walking, skating, etc, my feet and joints have appreciated the Gamechangers. I’ve essentially had these in my everyday shoes and used them skateboarding for the last several months. They have held up exceptionally well and still perform like new.
Overall Impressions:
Based on my previous experience with Footprint’s products, I expected the Gamechangers to be a solid product. After several months of use, they have exceeded my hopes and expectations. My knees and feet hurt less after skateboarding, recovery time is much less now.
